Dear All,
I have to repaint the steel tank and fiberglass tail of Long Range! but I do not have the original red color RAL.
How do I find it?
Thank you.
Ciao.
Piero
It's most unlikely that Norton used a German RAL (Reichs-Ausschuß für Lieferbedingungen und Gütesicherung) chart. The colour was listed as Signal Red and was probably the old British Standard BS381c colour
Presume the F'Glas ( fastback - tail fairing ) is Gel Cote . ? Mine was originally L R F B , originally RED . 8)
One of the stores in the U.S, had original NORTON touch up spay paint cans . even if it had dried up , cutting the can open
and useing thinners to reliquify the lacquer would get it copieable on a spectograph or whatever theyre called .

I think the chart on the right was basically for 1970.
The 1971 chart as posted by Rohan, is the unfolded item: "COMMANDO COLOUR CHART 1971" on the left.
I don't think there was a standard Black option until 1971 ('71 Roadster).
Someone posted the tinting guide for VW Tornado red a. Few months ago. I'm also ready to paint another steel roadster tank and side covers. Will be using this color.
