Ok, all you gurus out there.
Can anyone tell me just by these pics what cam I have? I just picked it up, hoping that it would be a direct replacement for the stock cam in my 75 MkIII 850, but now I'm not so sure.
I'm guessing that it's a early 70's 750 cam. Probably not the same as a MkIII.

Any info you guys could give me would be appreciated.

correct looks like a early 750, if the lobes etc look good then it will fit and work.

I have a cam I just pulled from a JPN with a build date of 7/74. It's identical to yours, including that mark on the side of the lobe.

Right On, Fellas - Thanks for the replies!

Well, it looks like my winter project is going to get a lot more involved. I was already planning on pulling the head off and taking it over to CNW to get some exhaust thread inserts installed.
And since it was down, I was gonna Refurb the oil pump, work on the electric start, ect......
Now I guess I'll pull the engine and go the distance.

Time to start saving up some $$$$, ordering some parts, building an engine stand - basically getting ready for a tear down. I've got a couple of more months of riding weather so I am going to continue to ride it until the snow starts flying then I'll take it apart.
