I finally got my narrow ham can filter fitted with the carb adaptor which utilises a standard rubber connector. Getting the socket screws to start was an absolute PITA ( to put it politely). I must have dropped them 10 times each. If I take the carb off again, I'll drill through the body and use nuts and bolts.

Once that was done I knocked up a new throttle cable using a bicycle brake cable "Noodle" . Unfortunately due to other demands I haven't had a chance to get out and test the new setup yet.[ATTACH=full]113572[/ATTACH]
