Equus makes a nice little set of 3 guages in 1-1/2 in dia... volt, temp, and oil pres... unfortunately, they are not available seperately, but they really aren't that expensive for the set.... available white face (pt # 8100) or black face (pt #6100).... i bought a set for the volt meter to replace the ammeter in my headlight... and i love it... very steady needle... easy to read, and i can tell exactly what the charging system is doing
Here is a photo of my arrangement of auxillary guages. Liquid filled oil pressure guage and Kuryakyn LED voltage guage mounted between handlebar clamps.
Here are some pics of my oil pressure gauge and mounting bracket. I fabricated it myself. For mounting, I tapped the holes of the handle bar mounting bolts all the way through and there were enough threads to mount the support brackets from the bottom. I wanted a nice clean setup. I had to use a 90 degree adapter for the gauge in order to clear the headlamp bucket.
Traveler, that is a very nice piece of work on your oil gauge. The picture of the whole set up is fantastic. I would love to see a full pic with both gauges showing. I put the Equus voltmeter on my triumph and I think it lasted 2 months and then was finished.
