For my 1961 T120R engine. I have a choice of 47205 10amp (was that use with 6 volts?) or 47239 16amp both 2 wire units, along with a new rotor. As it’s a magneto engine and minimal electrics I don’t want to bother with a 3 wire unit.

10amp! 47205 will work with 6v or 12v. 10amp is overkill for your situation and 16 amp would be terrible, especially with the original bridge/Zener.

Thank you. 👍 I will be completely rewiring and first on the list for throwing away is the zener diode, I’ll be using a Podtronics unit like I do already on my T160 and 850 mk2a
