Walking dogs..

My next door neighbor has one of the crazy ones note above. Incessant barking, no control, bolts out the door given the chance etc. etc.
Not the sharpest tool in the shed.
This specific dog went to "training camp" for over 2 months. It will always need to be on a lead if taken outside.
The thing is… that’s not really a dog, not in the true sense of being a companion, loyal, etc.

It’s more like having a pet fox !

Wish me good luck gents. My boy Tyrion and I are entered in another rally trial for this weekend. There’s only seven other dogs in my class but since we moved up to Excellent class there will be some stiff competition. Our first time competing in excellent so we’ll see how it goes.

Keep us posted Larry - any chance of a video clip of the pair of you in action ? I’m sure I am not the only one that would love to see it …

I'll try and get video tomorrow if possible. We had poor results today. We did two runs that had non-qualifing (NQ) scores. I struggled interpreting signs for the different exercises. Tyrion had trouble with his moving stand. A moving stand is while heeling your dog you command your dog to stand and stay and then you keep walking. He's done it hundreds of times but not today. Tomorrow is another day.

Our results for today's rally trials are as follows. Trial one we scored 97/100 but we didn't place. Trial two we scored 98/100 for first place! Redemption is ours. Lol! This was much needed after yesterday's poor performance. So proud of my good boy Tyrion. I will post video later.

Way to go boys ! Anxious to see the video.

I watched a real tear jerker of a movie today, “Red Dog”. It’s an Australian flick, supposedly semi true. Any Aussies seen this? If so, any idea how true it is? I usually hate dog flicks as they almost always end badly in my view but this one was good. I was crying at one point and my dog Tyrion has never seen me cry. He was all concerned and came up to me and was licking my tears in an attempt to console me. It worked. We are so lucky to have dogs in our lives. Good boy, Tyrion!

Apparently it’s based on a true story but by the end of its journey the dog didn’t look anything like the dogs in the movie. More of a flea bitten mutt. They used about 7 dogs in the movie.
