I had offered to donate a copy of my book "Old Bikes", since the contest started. The latest revision has a new chapter on racing old bikes. It will be signed.

Pray tell, GP, just what would a "signed" copy be worth. Do you think it will go up substancially upon your passing? (god forbid)

I'm CONTRIBUTING it, not selling it.

Note that I have not listed anything for sale on this board for some months.

Give it a rest...

(for what it's worth, I also instituted the idea for this contest, as the build threads have always been my favorite part of the forums)

Well, guys...

I have cast my vote but it wasn't easy. There is a lot of good work displayed in the bikes this year and a nice variety of results. I am probably overly emotional about such a simple thing but I think you are all winners. Regardless of resutls, may your Nortons bring you years of pleasure.

Am so envious of you guys as I have so far to go.
all in all an excellent bunch of entries, and I have really enjoyed seeing the pictures and reading up on the history of each the restorations or rebuilds.
I also think that the preliminary results should not be shown so we are all in suspense until the end of the competition.

Well , im goiing to be all critical , Red paint , solo seat and pipes scrapeble miss out . :shock: I did it all myself 8)
gets full marks , as he hasnt mucked anything up . :oops: I hope . Otherwise well have to sort him out too . . :P :lol:

He's going to have to fit Norvil pipes next though . :roll: :wink: :idea:

All of them look very nice, unfortunately there can only be one winner.

AccessNorton has been an invaluable resource and I know it takes your personal time and your personal resources to keep it vital.
I'm honored to have won, but that's not why I put efforts up for judgement. I was hoping it would inspire others to bring up the level of their own levels of excellence and commitment.
We are carrying on a heritage and that is a responsibility. While we enjoy the fruits of our labors, we have involved ourselves in something that goes beyond our two wheeled obsessions.
We are continuing Norton's history and that is reward enough.
Consider the monies re donated to the website.
