Hi all,
I have a quick update on new forum options. First, the new server is ready and I will be moving the forum to it in a couple of weeks. Although not much has been visible on the front end, we have been doing a lot of programming for new VIP member features. For normal registered users not much will change. You will not be able to post annonymously and a few other minor things will not be available. To cover the new server a VIP members area will become available for a low annual fee (not sure what it will be yet) and a commercial area for a slightly higher fee. There will be no flashing banner ads and the forum design and integrity will remain the same.
The VIP members will have new features. They will be able to have their own online Gallery and photo albums where they can easily upload photos and turn them into exciting slide shows as well as sub galleries. VIP will also be able to upload images in their posts and upon clicking the images a larger image will appear. (Some may have seen us testing this last week). Of course there will be much more and we will be growing this area as ideas materialize.
The commercial member area will have the same features as VIP members have+ they will have their own web page that will work well in search engines companyname/. There will also be a new Forum where only they can post to push their products. All will be able to see this area.
Apologies if you have seen any downtime or unusual events while we have been programming.
