Venhill Cables no longer require lubrication

When I purchased a featherlight clutch cable the website said "no lube" when I got the cable in the mail, the instructions said lube with 3 in 1. So I called venhill USA and they're exact words were "Teflon is the lube, none is required we leave that 3 in 1 stuff for guys who can't accept that technology no longer requires a lube to be added and fear to ride a bike without it" he also said all cables are now made with the liner and don't require any lube.

What heat can Teflon take before it loses its properties?Fair bit I would say.....look at your frying pan!
