UK supplier; slightly obscure fasteners

Hello,

Following the demise of my favourite IRW fastener suppliers (Clerkenwell Screws, London), I need to source:

M14 x 1.0 nylock nut

one off! But I would of course buy more if needed.

This is not easy to find (and andover norton dont have any now)

Any suggestions?

None readily available onlinr etc...

McMaster Carr are the oddest company to deal with, they do not sell to the UK. If you arrange a US dropship account and get your UK bank to change the credit card registered address to the US dropship address they see its a UK issued credit card and refuse to supply.

They have faced fines in the past for trade regulation violations for sending restricted use items overseas and choose to limit this liability by simply not selling to any who present anything foreign: CCs, addresses, freight forwarder, overseas emails - all of these will get you blacklisted.

I used to buy from Custom Fasteners (Newtown Wales) but see they have merged with Hockley Motorsport. They were VERY good in range and quality.
Still, their page on that site may be with look?

Hi, thanks, but not M14 x 1.0?

I have looked but cannot find a supplier (on ebay or off) for M14 x 1.0

Standard is M14 x 2.0 - plenty of that
Metric Fine is M14 x 1.5 - also available
Extra Fine is M14 x 1.25 - some available, but harder to find

However, I need M14 x 1.0, and I cant find any UK supplier (bar andover who are out of stock- I got 1, but need 2 !!

Any links/ leads would be much appreciated!

Yes, when I built the bike in the mid 90's (cutting my teeth with my dad) we used Custom Fasteners quite a bit.

I generally dont use Amazon, preferring Ebay as a platform. But all good, I bought them.

And despite £6 for 4 nuts (which is ok for these I think) and £5 for delivery (which isn't), I may yet replace with the Nyloc when AN has more stock and I am placing my next order.

All the sourcing map stuff I have got so far has been good, pricey but you get them next day. On prime the £5 is dropped.
