Tools You Have Made to Maintain your Norton

I have one made by a friend with a 3D printer. Same thickness as a rotor, same Id as a rotor, has a slot just like a rotor but is a hex on the outside to fit a socket. I use it a lot when building engines. If someone had a fast 3D printer, I bet they could make money making them. It took him hours to print it so it's a one-off.
I would be interested in seeing a pic of what this 3D printed socket looks like.
I think the easiest way to make one would be to cut down and weld a bad rotor to an old 1/2" drive deep socket.

This works very well with a ratchet and socket.

Looks nice, thanks. Is that made out of metal? Does it have a taper inside.
No, 3D Printed plastic. No taper - the inside is just like a rotor.

It's plenty strong enough or a hand-turned ratchet and socket but not strong enough or something like an air wrench to turn fast. The engine you see it on was the 5th I've built using it so it's holding up fine.

If he still has the 3D file, maybe he can be convinced to make some more.
I'm thinking lightweight plastic would be inexpensive to ship.

I just finished 12 more PETCOCK HOLDING TOOLS. They are $25 apiece plus shipping. Do not know if the postal rates for Australia and New Zealand have come back done to Earth yet, they were around $60. Will check on current postal rates for the USA this Monday. I will ship the cheapest route, of course.
Do you still have any for sale? I’m in Portland oregon

Okay - another one that I have not designed but recommend carrying in your "on-board" tool kit.
Connects between the HT lead and the spark plug. Does two things:
  1. Verifies if the plug is sparking under compression, and
  2. Avoids potential damage to EI system - for many pulling a lead is a no-no.
Many of you probably already have one of these. Readily available on ebay for about $20.
Cheers
