Tools in your onboard tool bag thread

I carry the Norton tool kit that came with the bike plus a few spare blade fuses and a terminal board from an old ignition switch with all the terminals shorted together.

Regarding the terminal board - if the ignition switch gives you problems you just hook the positive and negative wires to the spare terminal board and everything works? That seems like a good idea unless I am missing something. Quick, easy, lightweight fix and sort it out later.

It is a get-you-home device and also a diagnostic tool so you can plug and unplug different circuits one at a time later on. I rebuilt my ignition switch long ago but there's always that lingering doubt. (But no mixing of positive and negative wires involved. That would go boom.)
