To all the Aussie's who surport the mighty BLUEs (NSW) who said the MAROON's (QLD) were getting a bit old in the tooth, well they sertenly gave the mighty BLUEs a good old flogging in last night series win (QLD 52 to NSW 6) and a record score at that and to rub it in even more 9 series win out of 10, not bad for a aging group of old FARTS.

Queenslander, Queenslander, Queenslander

Good to be a proud Queenslander

Who's their quarterback?

We play Rugby League here not Amercan Football so no quraterbacks in our game, we don't stop and go play we have 2x 40minute halves that are flat out play, we have national Rugby League, but State of Orgin is between 2 rival states Queensland vs New South Wales and has been played since 1980 with 3 series games each year and is one of the tuffest games around, if you get the chance to see a State of Orgin game and you be hooked.

Rugby League should not be confused with Aussie Rules football which no true Aussie watches or supports and is a game which seems to have no rules  Go Queenslander .

There's also football (soccer in Australia), and Union (Rugby Union). So the opportunity for confusion when talking about "football" is huge.

Hi Ash,

Watching the game 3 replay.

1) Why do they kick away, do they have only so many drives allowed? Why not just keep driving?
2) Queensland guy #10 is a beast. Just a comment
3) When they kick an extra 2 pts, how is it spotted?

This is good to watch...

extra point looks like a std spot 20 yards out from the corner.

Where ever they cross the line to score a try (4 points) they get to kick a goal (2 points) from 20 yards out but have to kick it from the area they crossed the line, so if they score on the corner they got to kick the goal 20 yards out from the corner, so it best to score under the post for the kicker, if the side that is close to the their try line and the other side gives away a plenty the attacking side can play for a try or choose to kick a plenty over the post for 2 points.
Its a great game to watch but like all football games of any sport its hard to follow if you don't understand the rules, in the old days of State of Ogin there was a lot of fisties, all in brawls and some brawls started at the first kick of the game and some times the brawl started from the scrums, so when the scrums were setting a few word being said nomaly set the fight off, but they have cracked down on it these days and the blews are a bit soft these days as the players can't afford to be surspended as they got to play their nomal weekly club games.

But other than that its a tuff game and the rivery between the 2 states just gets stronger.

Yea, just like cricket where the play long boring test matches over a small cup containing the ashes of some cricket wooden cricket sumps :!: :( 8)

"But other than that its a tuff game and the rivery between the 2 states just gets stronger." Those rivalry games are the best, so when seeing new, it is much better than a boring one. That was a good game to watch, I got some of it, clearly don't get the smaller points, but a good one. Thanks for the help.
