Well I’m already for 2013 and the 100/100/100.

My replacement head is great with new guides by JC, tight seats and good geometry. I milled the face and opened the intake port slightly to match up to the manifolds. I only went in about ½ to ¾”. The main point about this head is that I know exactly what I have. Tight, balanced and equal from side to side.

I swapped out the Surefire for a PowerArc. Very clean setup. I think the most important part it to make sure you have the matching coil. This also may help if warrantee issues arise, god forbid.

I have also done some maintenance things like swing arm bushing check, clean up a little wiring and added a Shorai 14ah battery. These batteries are so nice and all the adhesive padding is very classy.

A few years ago I added the Pazon sure fire and some new exhaust pipes. It turn out that I was set up way off and the brand new pipes turned cherry red before I could stop it. I lived with them since but decided to get some replacements from Commando Specialties. Their 1 ½” pipes are pretty good and that is where I got them originally. They matched up perfectly with good clearance and no stress on the rubber mounts. The lesson was that I started and tuned everything up with the old pipe before fitting the new.

Finally, I sprung for a pair of 32mm Premiers. Knowing that I had a solid setup on the shelf and that if they didn’t work out, I could sell them off with little trouble. I was really looking for that first kick season start up that I have experienced before but no go this time. I dinked around and fiddle for an hour and said “screw this”. I put the Mik Pumper on and had that first kick experience. I admit that my impatience may have gotten the best of me, but I want to ride. I do not know what I will do with them yet. Stay tuned.

Sounds like you were busy over a very long Michigan winter. Some nice mods!

I know that I'll catch some flak for this but .....it's hard to beat a well dialed in Mik or two. I have a single 36mm on my 850 and it starts quite easily and gets good gas mileage.

Quite the smug successful spending we love to savor even if not ours. Too bad you didn't get the news that Commandos only excite ya with dual carbs, so guess what most are missing out on eh.

Peel had her headers turn bright red all the way to the muffler in mere seconds during a one in a row Boyer screw up by me but pipes already cut/welded for 2>1 so just made em rusty the whole way to match. I hope you try some various ign curves in the Powerarc.

Peel is about to top off on new parts spending, most recent are bar levers that came out new Japaneses UFO scout craft not some clunkly ole Nazi saucer ship. Last big buy items are better 2" longer rear shocks.

That is some new world record.

What were you using as a fuel?

Acetylene with nitrous, 30 psig boost and H2O2 injection?

Smug? Maybe or maybe not. I've run twin carbs in many configuration. Some successful, some not so. Quite frankly, Ms. Peel is an excellent candidate for the single 40mm pumper. All the bennies of the single carb with stump pulling in the bottom and hellasious top end. Need a good cam though........ Or are you too smug?

Is this a FullAuto head?
No, quite a differance between a few hundred and a few grand. Maybe not all the performance but darn good performance.
No, this is an old RH1 with factory fresh seats and generally in excellant condition. Almost NOS with good geometry. One that didn't slip around in the drill press jig when originally machined.

A little TLC and some "C" notes brought it to a higher standard.
