Thinking about this CWN starter kit

I never thought about putting a ES on my Norton but thanks to GP and everyone here helping me to get back on my Norton and giving in the way I be able to ride my Norton and with a missing leg how I be able to start it, so Sunday I sat up in the shed, with a few cold beers to help with my thinking and where I be able to mount a big battery for the starter kit.
I love my round alloy oil tank and where it mounts across the and under the tool tray of the Featherbed frame, and not much room to fit a larger battery.
Well just before I was thinking more about it and I still have the original right side Featherbed oil tank, it also holds more oil than my round alloy tank so thinking I could re install that oil tank and mount the big battery behind the oil tank on the left side, I no longer have the original battery box, have the cover for it, but I could make a battery tray for what ever size battery I need for the ES so I think I have solved the battery problem, but I do love my round alloy oil tank it just look right for my bike and it's also light.
As it is I need to fully rewire my Norton for the ES as I have very min wiring on my Norton (with the Joe Hunt) and I might have to make a new tool tray that sits under the seat, but I have done that before, I ran with the original oil tank for over 30+ years without any problems with it, it's been over 15 years ago when I mounted the alloy round oil tank.

Definitely a grand adventure afoot with installing this kit Ashley. I just finished installing mine a month back and big learning for me. In fact when it comes to the battery, if you go with one of those Shorai batteries, they are quite small and light compared to the standard lead acid batteries and with a minimum of 270CCA needed for the starter, you could probably get away with tighter spaces.

Brutal!

Well I have 3 weeks off from rehab, got a big job cleaning the mess up in my shed have still 2 weeks off so making room to pull the lift table out and put the Norton up on it to start the install of the ES kit and other work needed, but before I do going to throw in some fresh fuel, drain the oil out of the sump and see if I can kick it over with the peg leg, I will never know till I give it a go, as well see if I can change gears with my bionic leg/foot.
The worst thing about all this is proving to others I can still ride, go through the medical certificate again and changing my new license again, the B S I have to go through just to get back on my bike, 52+ years of riding and 50 years on the Norton, think I know my stuff as well my bike by now, all this B S from one person mistake.
It will take me a few days to get the shed ready, my train layout has created a big mess in the workshop, but I be working under the open awning area as it's starting to warm up here now , first day of Spring tomorrow and our days are already 25c so be cooler working under the awning, the starter kit won't take me long to do but rewiring the Norton, making a tray for whatever battery it needs to run and changing the oil tank back the original Featherbed oil tank and make sure my charging system is working, lots to do than just throwing on the ES kit.
