What time is it? I must have done something really stupid in the last 5 minutes.
I had a '69 Orange and White Honda 350 Scrambler when I was around 19 years of age, I think. For some reason I decided to put new rings in it. I was in the process of finishing up the cam when I was told to come in to eat. Put the motor together the next day and took off for a spin. I'd done some modification to the CV pistons on the carburetors and the motor really liked it. Got about 1.5 miles from my house and bang skid to a halt. Valve through the top of a piston and messed up the head some. I forgot to tighten the cam sprocket up fully (chain driven OHC) and the bolts worked out and sprocket came loose. Local Honda shop welded whatever was wrong with the head and I put a new piston and rings in it. Ran fine after that, but it was not as fast as it was when the cam timing changed. I don't remember where that bike ended up. I probably traded it for something.
