Jackson was called in as a consultant for Her Majesty’s Revenue & Customs (HMRC), after the management of the Vincent-HRD Owners Cub attempted to convince them (and John Lumley’s Executors) that Lumley’s motorcycles, worth an estimated £1 million, were only worth £75,000.

Dishonesty everywhere, sadly. We had a very big Classic Car dealer in the town (with a showroom in Central London too), but their scam was to fabricate a purchase history for each car, showing imaginary sales at ever increasing prices to convince purchasers that they were looking at a sure fire 'investment'.
