I got my tach repaired after watching it bounce for a few months. I sent it to Joel Levine. 10 days turnaround. Ultrasonic cleaned, replaced the bearings and whatnot that caused the problem, calibrated, new rubber grommets, and painted the case. $180. It's a one-man shop, and probably like others in the biz I think you might get better service from them.

Glad you had good service and are happy. A bit different than my experience with his shop (Precision Instrument) Although that was about 12 years back now. Maybe quality has gone up.
