Swinging arm spindle installation

It would seem to make sense that the conical end of the spindle would face the zerk for easier addition of 140 gear lube. The workshop manual doesn't specify. I forgot to make note of the position when I disassembled it. Which way is correct or does it matter? Thanks for your replies!

The threaded end goes to the timing side.
