I watched a 1975 episode of The Sweeney last night, series 3, & was wondering if any of you own a red export style T120/140 reg. number HLR 725N. The bike was used to prove that an armed robber could have carried out a robbery at a bookies in the alloted time by riding through a park, as doing the journey by car on public roads was imposible. I remember watching this in '75 & had it in my mind as a T160. According to the DVLA the bike still exists and is on SORN.

McQueen tried the same trick in one of his films . Tri 650 & 500 dueling in a chase on paths in a park . Wouldve created to much panic if theyed used a car ! .

there are a few Triumphs in The Sweeney, another episode has psycho criminal 'Cookie' riding around on a Bonneville, and there is another episode which features a lad with a Mk3 Commando.

Series record on the video machine is a neat thing.

There was a post on face ache a while ago where the owner of that bike had a picture of it and told the story about it being in The Sweeney

THE PROBLAM WITH THESE BIKES OR FILM VEHICLES IS IF THE OWNERS DO NOT WATCH THE SWEENEY OR GOOGLE THE NUMBER PLATE THAY WILL NEVER NO. BELIEVE ME I BOUGHT ONE OF THE SWEENEY BIKES BACK IN 2022 AND MOST OF THE PREVIOUS OWNERS WAS TOTALLY OBLIVIOUS TO ITS HISTORY.
