Just finished another beautiful early Saturday morning ride here in the Arizona desert southwest USA. The desert is as green as a rainforest due to one of the wettest julys on record. Today I rode down to Patagonia near the Mexico border . Patagonia is a town time has forgotten. Very pleasurable ride as always on my 961 sport. Since getting this bike 3 mos ago I have done all the rides around Tucson. Up the mountain to 9000 feet and the ski village. Down to Sierra Vista near historic Tombstone. Over to Arivaca (another town left behind by time). Lots of well maintained winding roads in all directions. 4 law enforcement officers out today bringing in the revenue, but cautious yet occasionally rapid riding got me home safe and with my wallet intact. The 961 continues to impress both me and others who seem to always respond with enthusiasm when they see a Norton. Lots of questions and complements. Couldn't be happier with my decision to buy this bike. I am a Norton rider from Atlas and Commando years on. If anyone plans to visit the area contact me and I can give you the benefit of my 50 years of riding around here. Grateful to have this forum to educate myself about these awesome but somewhat quirky machines.

Hi , I really enjoyed reading your post . Arizona is an Epic experience . It is people like you who make me really happy that I bought my 961 . My bike seems happiest/smoothest when ridden in the power band , this is the only way I can describe it. When everything is in contact so to speak .
