I should have expected as much . I’m posting this in a new thread so as not to derail the relevant one . It is one thing to prattle on about the dangers of drum brakes or backwards ideas regarding rake/trail . It is quite another to make glib “ I told you so “ remarks about riding on public roads to another highly regarded and regular contributor who , along with his wife were tragically injured in an accident. Both are facing long recovery - one is losing an appendage.
Is anyone else as pissed off as I am about this ?
Time to shut him up .

I didn't read it but I read what Ash wrote, so yes, pissed as well. I used my favorite tool long ago on him - ignore.

For those that don't know, you can click on a member's username at the left of any post, and then click Ignore. You won't see their posts or be notified of them. I actually have a few ignored members - I don't come here to be upset or annoyed and when upset or annoyed a few times, I put an end to it.

Jerry/Les, can anything be done? It is truly a rare post that is of value to anyone from him.

I'm ignored by all the right people. Lot of freedom of speech comes with that award.

I don't ignore anyone. Ignore is a feature for message box heroes of which I am not.

Al is not on my get pissed at list. He's about 7 years older than I am and he probably says a lot of things that are curious ramblings. I have not posted in that Ash in the hospital thread. I don't really know Ash, and pretending like I know what is best for his tragic situation would be out of character for me I think. Can't add anything but bar room wisecracks, which might piss somebody off. So keeping a lid on my shenanigans.

I did give a Sad face to the initial post though.

I do agree with you Richard. Tone deaf and unnecessary but at least he is consistent...

Al’s not thinking clearly, and hopefully he regrets what he posted. It puts him in a different light for sure.

Al is a old man, remebering his so call race days and scared to ride on the road if you add up all the times he put on his bike he hasn't done that much riding really, but he clames to be very experienced, a real full on rider will ride when ever they get a chance no matter the conditions as we have a love of 2 wheels, myself have never been without a MC for over 52 years that i have never stopped riding.
Al just watches too much YT and is a arm chair worrier, i really feel sad for him not experiencing a true life on a motorcycle, traveling, being a idiot, riding in the dirt, cruising with mates when ever we feel like it, or just our everyday run around, don't think Al has experience that freedom and friendship that 2 wheels bring, so i feel sad for him myself.
