Wes has had a few fastbacks come into the shop lately, including a 68 in the two-tone silver and candy red - original paint. Guy found it locally for $1300, and spent another couple bills to get it running. It didn't have the fender on it, as a previous owner put a 3.50 tire on the front and had clearance issues.

I repainted my '73 in the same candy, and now am thinking I could have done a two-tone just like the 68. Oh well, too late now.

That looks like his Rocket 3 behind him in the Atlas pic. He likes the Hurricane mufflers better than the original Ray Gun mufflers.

Yes, I'm local to Wes and am by there pretty often. I also know of Howard, and am tempted to see what else he has stashed in that warehouse.

My Ranger was Wes' for 26 years. I just happened by the day he decided he was never going to get to it. He made me promise I would ride the thing and not make it a trailer queen. He had the honor of the first ride on it - I brought to his shop for the start-up, as I wanted a second set of eyes to check and make sure I didn't miss anything. I didn't, and it started on the second kick.

Nice! but you should of jumped on the Rocket III in the background and rode off before anyone noticed!

Hi-
Got that same belt buckle and wear it daily.
Mine came in the crate with the bike and says 1978 Baron Buckle 4445.
