Hello,

(This was triggered by the similar thread for Commando)

I have been meaning to replace my original (!) Girling units on the 1961 650 Standard. I suspect for the last 30 years I have been riding around the somewhat limited damping etc.

I fancy Ikon 7610 (1307??)

I see some UK owners have these (and I think universally recommend them).

Can I ask where you got them from? Were they supplied spec'd for the slimline frame? (eg 11.9", 3/8 and 5/16 buses, and 110lb springs)

Or are there any other recommendations around either these shocks or others?

What do you have? Thanks in advance,
Andy

Ikon make shocks for the slimline Featherbed, i just sold my 1960 Manxman project bike with a new set of Ikons, stupid me should have taken them off before selling the bike.
I am in Aus and Ikon is based in Albury Australia and are really good to deal with and fast service, have also brought Ikons for my Triumph Thruxton and a rebuild kit for my old Koni shocks that i been running on my Norton since 1978 the rebuild kit was only $40 from Ikon and that was about 12 years ago.
