Does anyone manufacture a Manx type seat for a slimline I wonder...and the answer is YES...as I have just found out by using the web!!(Which I should of thought of doing FIRST)
Personally for my wideline i made a pattern which gave the 'racer' look but still left enough room to squeeze a slim girlfriend on the rear.... whilst compressing my err privates into the tank which can be painfull depending upon size of girlfriend!..... and made one in fibreglass (which reminds me ..does my frame maker friend still have my pattern??). Hint. If making your own seat strengthen up the seat to rear hump area as a passanger on the rear DOES cause the seat to break at this point. Making the seat myself I simply glassed in a couple of large headed 5/16 screws that lined up with the fixing holes in the frame BEFORE having the seat covered. I also stuck a layer of ye old genuine real rubber 1/4 inch thick what we called in my young days 'sorbo' rubber strip to the seat so it not only sat on it but seperated the seat from the sides of the frame . Sorbo does not stay compressed when released unlike some of the pipe insulation tube some people shove round frames to support petrol tanks etc...and then wonder why the tanks have cracked / split. Once again I have just used my computor and found Sorbo strip and sheet suppliers on the web not that I will ever use all that I bought many years ago but it was nice to find I could still spell Sorbo correctly after all these years.............
Its amazing the skills one can learn in playing with Nortons........

Burtons British Bikes sell them not sure if they come with brakets but not hard to make if need to, I have mounted 2 Innerstate seats to fit my Wideline frame, one is a dual seat and the other a solo Innerstate seat with the hump, I had to remount the brakets to have the seat in the right position, I brought the solo seat from BBB as well as a new cover for the dual seat, I have ran the dual seat for over 30 years on my Wideline they are very comfrotable for long trips, not sure how the Manx seat be on long rides but they do look good.

how did you fit it Paul? brackets?

Basically, "C" shaped brackets an inch wide and about 1-1/2" tall.

mount the bottoms of the Cs to the frame, then mount the seat to the tops.
