I bought the '76 CB400! https://www.chrishallmotorcycles.co.uk/used-bikes/honda/cb400/165407.htm
The lifting handle (378) is missing.

Nice indeed - I have a GB 500 and I really enjoy riding it. The lesser HP thing becomes fun - get it moving then try to keep it there.Great info, thanks all...turns out the Norton will stay in the Americas; yesterday I bought the '76 CB400! https://www.chrishallmotorcycles.co.uk/used-bikes/honda/cb400/165407.htm
That was the first bike I ever owned, bought it in High School. Wish I still had it.The answer is simply that we just enjoy living in the UK. We aren't moving/selling our TX house, but we spend most of the year in England so I was thinking of having the Norton here. Though, re that, yesterday I became aware of a '76 Honda CB400F for sale that looks nearly new. It might be an even better choice for the roads we like ---all 37 HP!
Thanks LAB! I didn't realize:
Yup he's your man for classic Honda spares Mike, even has a museum full of them! Enjoy your stay, some great biking roads up in Yorkshire (if that's where your headed). Thanks LAB! I didn't realize:
1. There was supposed to be a lifting handle and, 2. it was missing!
I ordered one from David Silver Spares which seems to be THE shop in the UK for CB400 parts/info. https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/CB400F-SUPER-SPORT-FOUR/part_3447/
