I need/want to sell my 1967 N/15,it's a "new to me" machine.Ive been posting here about it...and my hard starting issues...well it turns out, like I thought,I'm just too much of a" lightweight" to kick this beast to life, that's why the P.O sold it.I have roughly 6200 bucks into the bike,I've put a single MIkuni carb from rocky point on and new petcocks.I have the monoblocs and petcocks that came with the bike,As well as a spare set of side covers, oil tank parts
Manual and all the documentation from the work recently done (fresh engine work) this is a numbers matching nice unmolested motorcycle that met all my expectations and was everything it was represented to be... My ego says "nah" but my gut says... You dummy, why'd you do that ? Well it was a impulsive thing to do...for sure... But we live and learn,so if anyone's interested in making me a reasonable offer....I fully expect to take a hit on the
Money... But so long as the offers reasonable.... I'd like to see it go to a forum
Member.i would be glad to e mail photos if there is any interest I can be reached @ customzef@comcast.net I'm giving the PO 1st crack at buying it back.... Joe if you see this first I'll be in touch.... But in sure he will
Not,he's a old fart like me and had the same problem getting it started.... I'll say this much, once it's running... Well... You know ! It's a atlas right !!

Well thats not so good to hear. How heavy are you ??
I'd comment that I bought my 1st Norton as a schoolboy, not much weight then !, and must have kicked it over +hundreds+ of times before finding all the sweet spots so it started first kick. Once it was all tuned up, it practically started itsself once you stroked the kickstarter.

Big singles, now they do take some starting - but the valve lifter takes all the pain out of it.
But thats another story....

Sounds like you haven't learned to kick it right, its not a Jap bike and it really doesn't matter how big or skinny you are it boils down to tecnic in how you kick it, when I was young and very skinny, a 17 year old with no experance with british bikes and a new 850 Commando it took me some time to work out the easyest way to kick it, I had no troubles kicking my mates 500 AJS or any other single or high compression British bikes once I learned how to kick them the right way, if your new to old british bikes it takes time but once mastered you be surprised in how easy they are to kick, its a shame you have to sell your old bike just because you gave up on it learning to kick it and I have known a few who have done the same, all my mates have troubles kicking my Norton over and give up after puffing themselfs out and yet I can do it with just a easy kick and mine is a high compression motor.
Maybe look for a longer kick lever, I don't know if the T160 folding kick lever for the Commandos will fit your shaft, but the are longer than the orginal kick levers and give you more power on the swing with less effort.

Thanks for the feedback fellas.... I'm no stranger to old British twins, and certainly have not "given up" on anything...comes a point that you gotta figure.... "The juice aint worth the squeezing" if you get what I'm saying !!! ( old southern USA saying...figure it out )
This bike is impossible to get on its center stand, and to try and start it on the side stand..... Well let's just say,it's pretty scary even doing nothing with or to the bike while it's being supported by the center stand, I believe I made a mistake purchasing this machine,am quite comfortable speaking about my limitations, and secure enuf to be honest about whether or not me and this bike are right for each other... We are not compatible,I've owned many commandos, and presently own 2 fine 750's which I love and have no trouble living with,I'll NEVER have this vibe with this machine... So that is why I am offering it up for sale on the forum to forum members. If anyone would like to own a nice example of a N/15 then here's your chance, otherwise please know that I've not "quit" or given up on anything.... I'm just being realistic.... And trying not to loose any more
Money than needed with this bike....and my impulsive purchase.....well...lesson learned.....! Hey if worse comes to worse I'll
Just keep it and look at it for Awhile... It's not like I had to mortgage my house to get it... That's it in a nutshell,so my mistake could be your good fortune.....if your man enuf to start it !!L.O.L.
