Selling my G80CS

Thanks Jerry. Hey Richard. I put it on eBay a while back with a reserve and it didn’t sell. I rode it this summer, sorted the last few things out, and am trying it no reserve now on BaT. I’m sorry I didn’t get to park it next to your Norton thumper at least once. Ben

Very nice. Sounds great. A Norton P11 mini-me.

I was under the impression that BaT was for people looking for something for nothing. I'll have to watch and see what happens. Best of luck

I didn't want to say that, but I was thinking the very same..... Much too fine to envision another person caressing those beautifully maintained surfaces and showing them off to strangers.... Then permitting them to hear and see her run.... perhaps mount and ride her.

Cut it out, I'm blushing...

Trying to arouse some jealousy. No way I could part with such a jewel..... I love to paint these pictures of bike sickness too.

Been checking in on this on BAT site through link provided above .
Is the auction archived and will I be able to check results if I miss the closing minutes ?

22 bids and "SOLD FOR $9,700 ON 2/15/21" Well done !! (you'll still regret it though).

Thanks GP and Cliffa. It was nerve wracking but fun. I made about $300.00 not counting my labor, which is a win. My bike fund is back in the black. Malcolm Smith was one of the bidders. I wish he had gotten it.

How many years have you owned it?

Recently I've been selling off my collection, and I've had a few bikes sell with similar bottom line. Having gotten a good few years out of them, I consider ANY profit (not counting my labor) to be a good sale. The reason being, I enjoy working on them, building them, and restoring them, every bit as fun as riding them!

Now we know how deep Malcolm's pockets are...

I owned it only since past March GP. I always wanted one and really enjoyed getting it running right, but when I rode it a bit I realized that it predates my chronological sweet spot. I ended up taking the Commando for spirited riding and /5 for grocery hauling. If it was more of a beater I might have kept it for poking around on.

I really agree with your “predates my chronological sweet spot” statement. Others I’ve rebuilt outside that “spot”, shortly after were sold.
Really enjoyed putting them together though and so far haven’t lost any money.
