If it works for you fine. I did it for years.
Till, working on a different application I used a proper stud remover and it was a relevation.
Sometimes the thread isn't enough to get two nuts on properly. A long, very tight stud would get awkward.
Also, less chance of bending the stud.
Just another example of using the correct tool for the job.
