I’m still fiddling with mine each off season 30+ years on now , almost there ....

Hey , could take me longer than the winter but I don’t think so . rebuilt my 69s over a winter but that was about 40 years ago.
i find the nortons fairly easy to work on.
I have purchased and received almost all the parts now.
the electric start kit was shipped a few days ago , should have it this week .
there will be other small items I need .
the project bike should be here in a week .
need to get the title in my name first at DMV. They need to inspect and check through the VIN numbers .
then I can start .
still can’t decide if I should paint the frame or powdercoated.
I have searched out the different threads of opinionions and experiences on this .
I would like to powdercoat it , talked to my local guys here about it.
they have done many motorcycle frames , I used them for years on aircraft parts , do a pretty nice and competent job.
but still have not decided.
I will send my engine and transmission to a friend that was a mechanic at a norton dealer when they were still being sold.
the rest I can do .
I work on projects six days a week in my hanger .
I am very well equipped with tools and equipment .
I just need to find the right painter to do the fireflake style paint work .

If I were looking for a fireflake painter I think I would check with Brent Budgor... “Time Warp” on this forum.
