I assume from what you say that I'm gonna have to remove my tank. Richard in Canada has previously given me advice on this and has urged me to give it a try, so I will do.

Also, I do have a few contacts of people that may be willing to help me.

Yes, I already have an optimiser/charger constantly in maintenance mode.
