I bought a used Alton , and everything looks to be OK, however the rotor face has threads that appears to be pulled away from the face by the action of rotor removal. Should I be concerned?

I suspect the rotor had spun on the shaft, and been hard to remove due to a smeared woodruff key.
My guess would be that as long as it is otherwise in tidy condition then good to go.

If I recall those are blind holes and only 2 or 3 threads deep. If I recall with the assembly, at the bottom of those holes is part of the rotor magnetics. The threads could also have been lifted by over torquing the puller bolts while setting up the puller tool, bottoming them out and damaging the already weak thread minimal contact.

The rotor is ruined as the outside edge is damaged besides the threaded holes. The outside edge is a thin aluminum swaged covering over about 20 small magnets epoxied in. Pretty delicate. Do not drop or pry on. Delicate is what I am seeing.
