Richard was far more than a Norton rotary expert. He was a Norton draftman in Commando days with many a drawing carrying his "RHN" initials, privately built and maintained the most successful Norton Commando endurance racebike, and later became "Head of Motorcycles" in Norton's rotary era.
I will write about him in next month's "Source".
A sad loss for the Norton world but a far sadder loss for his many personal friends.
