Resistor and non-resistor plugs

To the original topic, I was schooled about the difference between resistor & non-resistor plugs when racing. The resistor plugs would anneal under sustained high revs, and the gap would change because the outside electrode had gone soft.
I only run Champion plugs now, and they work for me. If having a resistor is important the NGK caps seem to work well, but I wouldn't use them on a tuned motor.

I don't know why people don't run with the Champion N7YC plugs, my bike never ran right with NGK plugs after a week or 2 with NGK the Norton would get a misfire never had the problem with the N7YC, my last set with running the Joe Hunt I replaced them at 35k miles and they were still running good but I reinstalled my old Amals so put a new set of Champions in for retuning the Amals, the hot spark of the Joe Hunt magneto my plugs seem to last forever and no wear on the electro, they run so clean with that big spark.
