Replace Stator? Seals and Such

Hey Everybody,

Still working on my gearbox.
Removed the stator (to get to the belt, to get to the clutch, etc), and found these cracks. Might be a stupid question, but is it time to chuck it out or have you used worse?




More questions, are there better options other than Genuine Andover for the gearbox mainshaft oil seal and drive side crankshaft oil seal?
Mainshaft bearing, is a good quality sealed bearing from the local bearing shop ok? I suppose it'd be good to removed the inner side seal however.

Those cracks are typical, nothing to worry about.

That's good to know. The rotor is good, the wires are good, so it would be a shame to have to replace it. It's 3 phase and runs my electrics faultlessly, lights up the halogen headlight perfect.

Any comments on the g/box mainshaft seal, l/h crank seal and mainshaft bearing?

Is that an OEM stator?

Well, it's 3-phase so it's probably not stock. But it is Lucas.
