spacecoast plating here in florida - top notch outfit. they did all the plating on my project spitfire. zero complaints. they plated the exhaust after a de-carbonizing/cleaning process. plating is show chrome, triple plated except exhaust - nickel-chrome. seems the copper is what causes header pipes to discolor. space coast doubles on the nickel bath before chrome. only drawback, not cheap - exhaust alone was $1K. i was into $3K for all the plating. running about 1200 miles in the spitfire, many heat cycles, and zero coloring on the header pipes.
