dear All,
looking closely to my rear shocks with one of my friends we noticed they may be longer than the stock ones.
Here is a pic: what do you think?
Thank you: I just measured them and they seems to be just a bit less than 13". Then I would assume they are stock..
but my concern is that I recently mounted a brand new centre stand (the one of the 850, just stronger than the one of the 750) and the rear wheel is close to touch the ground, rather than leave at least 3 cm..
any thought? is it normal?
12.75" is factory ball park give or take 1/4" variations. Who knows the variations of replacement center stands but I'd suspect tire size profile is main issue of clearance. It'd be simple to have a bit of metal welded on stand feet to get more if desired.
Also the spring preset ratchet might shorten up sag distance too.
The Avon roadriders are a lower profile tire and will bring the rear tire off the ground when on the centerstand a little more. However, I will not say this is a good reason to replace tires unless you are having handling issues.
