Rear Brake Plate Removal from Brake Hun

Is there a trick to separating the Rear Brake Plate et al from the Brake Drum? (74 850 Roadster) I have the assembly off the bike and tire and on the bench. The manual says "Lift the Brake plate complete from the Brake Drum". The plate is wobbly but is being held in the centre area by something. Thanks in advance

Nevermind Gently pryed with a couple of big screwdrivers and it popped out nicely
