Quick Heady Steady Question

I’m installing my box style head steady. I bought new rubber mounts. When I put the head steady on the triangle mounts, the mounts need to bend in some to have a tight fit.

Is that normal?

Tightening the head steady side plates against the box section will compress the rubber mounts a little but nothing should bend.

No, the mounts seem to come in various thicknesses depending on supplier. The same mounts are used on the rear silencer mounts. Take the mounts off, replace the triangular plates and measure the gap to the frame and get mounts closer to that dimension.

Last ones I got were from RGM and were the right size.
