Question for the PR guys

I used Tomaselli adjustable clip-ons when I had a PR fairing on the Interbak. It was even trickier to get things fitted since the Interstate tank is much wider than a PR tank. Tomaselli also makes, (or at least they used to) a fully adjustable clubman bar.

Regarding the bracket; here is the bracket that will be coming with the fairing, since I’ve never had a fairing I have nothing to compare it to.

Take a look and let me know your thoughts.

Question for the PR guys

There are MANY variants of Clubman bars; some can be adjusted in the yoke clamps and made to work with small fairings, others just refuse to give you that SLIGHTLY different angle you need. Some of them are PERFECT for riding the twistys, then flipping over in about 10 minutes to go home on the highway. They are more of an "M" shape and don't "push" forward as many inches from the mounting points.

Thanks. I found a set of clip ons that I’m going to try.

It’s interesting how much information there is about any one single topic.

This is how I learn and I really appreciate all the comments!

Your bike is absolutely gorgeous. The tank makes it although it looks great any way you look at it.

How is your seat attached? Is it the claw on the front or seat tabs?

Thanks for the compliment. That bike now resides in England. One of the few Nortons I have ever sold. Most uncomfortable bike I ever rode. Well maybe with the exception of the 900SS bevel.

The seat was attached with "claw" bracket at the front and the Dzus button at the rear, as the original PR.

Here is a diagram of the fairing mount from the Norton Service Release for fitting the PR fairing:

Just goes to show how different people are. My 750 bevel Sport is supremely comfortable for me, the riding position fits like a glove. Personally, I find the "normal" riding position of Brit bikes to be rather uncomfortable, feet too far forward, bars too high.

I find the standard Roadster and Interstate riding positions to be just horrible. As Steve said the feet are way too forward. I prefer to have my feet directly below my hips.

That being said the PR is pretty radical, although the seat is shockingly comfortable. But it's a stretch to the bars. Especially with my T-Rex arms.

My most comfortable Commando is my Interstate with rearsets and Euro bars. I find myself well back on the seat of the Roadster and 'S' with stock footpegs and US style bars. Would not want to do the 8 hour days I used to do on the Roadster back in the day. The bevel Ducati has a huge reach to the clip-ons and the pegs are so high up I would need to be about 100 lbs lighter and have arms long enough to drag my knuckles when I walk (Not to mention be 50 years younger!).

100% correct. Interstate with rear sets is very comfortable. Roadster with Corbin and rear sets isn’t bad but you do need to lean forward a bit.
