problem with front hub too! (commando drum)

I know I am probably creating tons of chatter but I am gonna shoot these questions out there!!

I noticed on my front hub that there is wear that looks crappy around the screw on bearing cover and onto the hub. It looks like something was smashed onto the wheel for some time and grinding into it making a mess.

Two questions:

1. Anyone have hubs with this condition?

2. if so how do you fix it? Machining etc... I'm wondering if I should see if CNW fixes this sort of thing or I need to tackle it another way.
