I have just bought a Norton Atlas Project. It is located in Amarillo Texas and I am located in Suburban Philadelphia. Can any one recomend a transport and or delivery service to pick up the bike in Amarillo and bring it to Philadelphia?
Is there anyone near Amarillo who will be travelling to the North East where perhaps I could meet you enroute?
Any suggestions will be appreciated!

I have used Keyboard Motorcycle Shipping many times with a perfect record of excellent price & customer service, good communication before, and during the shipment. It's door-to-door.

Tell them Paul from Born Again Bikes referred you.

Ahhhhhhhh, you beat me to the punch on that Atlas!
I literally saw the auction, walked upstairs to pour a coffee just to convince myself that I "thought about it" before hitting the Buy It Now. Walked downstairs, refreshed the browser in order to place my bid and the auction had ended.
But it's good to see that someone on the forum was able to get it.

I'd say just take the road trip down there and throw it in your car. I drove from Chicago to southern Texas last year to pick up an Atlas as well. 18 hours there, took the wheels off, put it in the car and 18 hours straight back. True story.
It's a nice ride through the country. Obviously you're a bit further, but the trip will be a cool memory.

Not sure what your plans are with the Atlas, but if you're going to do anything custom with it, and are going to consider selling any of the parts, I'd be very interested. Especially interested in the seat. I'm a featherbed Norton guy and I'm always looking for good spares.
Congrats on your purchase. And if you change your mind, I'll take it off your hands and drive down and get it.

Thanks for the suggestions. I honestly won't know my plans for the Atlas until I get to see just what's all there and what kind of shape it's in. I am working on a 1966 Atlas which is missing a lot of the hard to find stuff and this 1967 seems to have most of it. Who knows, maybe I will end up selling the 1966. I am not sure if the frame and the serial numbers match up on the Amarillo bike and that will influence my decision.
I will post more and have a better idea once I manage to get the pallet o' parts here in my barn. Like yourself, I thought about it for about a minute and ended up justifying the purchase by telling myself it would not be there in the morning.
I am heading out to a motorcycle swap meet this morning at Reading Motorcycle Club, if I find an Atlas seat, I will grab it for you. I think it wiull be mostly Harley stuff though. I am 58 years old and still have never ridden a Harley. My first bike was a 1946 Indian Chief. Back then when I bought it as a resto project, I was told "any idiot with a check book can buy a Harley".

Even rough featherbed frames still fetch $750 any day of the week, and more if it happens to be the only one on e-bay when 2 or more willing bidders want one.
