Any ideas on how to secure the internal baffle on a peashooter muffler other than replacement?

Depending on the design of the peashooter, JB Weld, spring(s) securing the rattling portion to something that's secured, drill a small hole from the back side into the interior and either bolt, sheet metal screw, or spring the loose section in place, welding -- if the rattling can be accessed.

Never done any of the aforementioned myself.

.

once baffles fractured loose must bite the bullet to replace but for fun can drill couple holes in each, all the way through to secure temporary with ugly Frankenstein bolts while waiting new ones. Cordless drilling more pleasant efficient for hobot. Late Westley was disapproving head shaking camera man.

I had one of mine rattle but I simpled peened the out end. IE on mine there was a we stub welded to the muffler on which the baffle was fitting out side of the stub. by peening the stub out carefully, I got rid of the rattle.

My (EMGO, I think) developed a rattle in one side. I ordered the parts but llived with it 2 years. Bit the bullet and replaced them with HD chromed headers & pea shooters from Feked. To be clear, the muffler with visible welds was the 20+ year old EMGO.
The one show on the bike (no visible welds) are the Feked

I had modified the EMGO's and so did these, to improve kicker clearance by removing 3/16" of height on the threaded stand offs.

I thought I was being smart a bunch of years ago, and shucked out the extra cash for SS peashooters - guess what happened??

Peashooters are not forever - buy a new set and move on with your life...

As a fabricator, the golden tone of SS, jumps out as NOT chrome.

I had the welded Emgos on mine, the welds at the pipe joint let go on both but the baffles never loosened up. Bought the nice one piece pea$$hooters a few years ago and I am starting to hear a rattle from one. Funny thing is the guy I got em from said he never had any troubles with them.

Update on the Feked header pipes:
