Hi,
Just finishing up some electrical upgrades to my newly acquired 1975 MK3 :) and went to install a new Pazon Surefire and realized I had been sent the wrong one by my parts supplier. I ordered the PA2 (12V) for twins but received the PA1 (12V) for singles. I have an email out to Pazon (it’s the week-end now in NZ) but just wondering if anyone knew if they were the same units but just with different installation instructions? I see on the Pazon website under the Ignition Parts section that replacement modules, triggers and rotors appear to be interchangeable between singles/twins which got me thinking. No problem sending it back and getting the right one...it would just take time. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Thanks,
Ryan

Well there was no real difference on the Boyer's so doubt Pazon are any different.

I don’t understand.

If you look on their website, a replacement black box PAM2 is listed as “Sure Fire Ignition Module Single/Twin 12 Volt”
And a replacement stator plate PAT2 is listed as “Sure Fire Ignition Trigger Single/Twin”
Even the rotor PAR2 is listed as “Sure Fire Ignition Rotor Single/Twin”

The only other stuff in the box is the instructions and fitting hardware.

The twin ignition is wasted spark so fires on every crankshaft rotation exactly the same as a single does.

So I’m not sure what I’m missing.

Thanks Grant and Kommando. Grant - I wasn’t sure if the 2 kits were the same (even though they’re marketed as 2 different kits). I kinda suspected what you wrote...turns out the only differences between the PA2 and PA1 are the installation booklet and the black wire for the coil link (not supplied in the PA1 kit, as singles only have the one ignition coil). So thank you...and very anti-climatic ending to my first post!
