Problem is I can't ride it without twisting the throttle wide open once in a while. How does one fix that? :)

I put a new rear tire on a few days ago and went for a test ride to see if it was round. It's nice to not have a squared off tire to ride on anymore.

To get the handling a bit nicer for me (not anyone else) I put a BT46 110/80-18 on the rear. Front is Conti-Go 100/90-18. The 110/80-18 is a bit skinnier and not as tall as the the 4.00-18 it replaced. It does look a little strange, but feels great.

Whatever keeps you wanting to ride it is 'right'. Period. My focus is on that lovely engine and front brake, plus paint and other details anyway.

I find myself riding my N15 a lot more than my Suzuki 1100, which is an excellent ride, being much faster, smoother, and roomier for my ape-like frame. But the Norton gives me more smiles, and that's a BIG deal. I think having built it with my own hands, the way I thought was right, gives me a boost of pride and joy. Sometimes when I'm riding it, I have thoughts of when it sat in a greasy bunch of boxes, and wondering "is it worth rebuilding?" and "will it be reliable and good to ride?" Should I part it out? Thankfully, the answer is yes, yes, and no.

Well, everything I do is right in my warped opinion. :)

I've had the P11 a long time. It's a better ride than it ever has been. Almost like riding a loud boring modern bike with a slightly stiff suspension. It might even be reliable, but I haven't got a burning desire to test that theory on a long ride yet.

I don't have a garage full of bikes anymore. I wouldn't mind having the 1988 Maroon 1100 Katana I had now. Good sport touring bike it was.

Only a few other things I'd like to modify on my version of a P11. One being fill the Norton name on the timing cover and finish it off to make it look more like the pre-Commando it is.
