Oiler for engine rebuild or another crazy idea

I am just ready to button up the engine and I wanted to have it oiled up before starting it up so I thought of making this pressure oiler from bits of scrap. I will plug it up to te head and make sure the rockers are oiled up and then hook it up to the outlet of the rocker feed on the timing cover to oil up the crank. The gauge is there to see how much pressure it takes to get oil in the different parts of the engine. I think it should work out good. I will report on how i goes.

Tried my contraption on the head and I saw oil oozing out of the roker shafts on each of the four rockers, so this means if the oil pump is working right, oil should get to all the rockers. This is one test I had to do because I had the intake rocker shafts drilled so I could use only one oil line going to the head and do away with the crossover oil line.




Next I will plug that to the output of the timing cover and fill up the crank
