Did you get anything fun for Christmas for your Norton?

What's that you say, Dave, why don't you go first? Since you asked...

That big old box under the tree, yes, it was a pair of Avons for the bike. Did I mention I don't have any wheels for them to go on? Yeah, that's how it's going. Need to save up for some new rims and spokes from Buchannans. Yeah, it's going to be a while. But I has tires.

Some of you may recall seeing a vintage-looking Bultaco sign in my garage. I lucked out and my brother-in-law made me a Norton one for Christmas. The wife vetoed hanging it over the bed, so I guess it's going to have to stay in the garage...

I need to clean up the garage and find somewhere to hang it.

From CommandoSpecialties:

-Kickstarter
-Barnett clutch plates
-US bend handlebars
-T-shirt

I also bought $150 worth of (smaller) parts I needed with money I got. :)

-Jordan

Didn't get anything but bare essentials, but I did get enough cash to pay for the front link I bought from windy last week :)

Woo-hoo, I got a new digital camera! Which really isn't Norton stuff, but at least now when I try to take close up pics of my stuff they might be in focus! It was one of those things I really wanted for the workshop that I didn't want to spend money on, so it is cool in my book. Sadly the manual is 160 pages. About the same size as the workshop manual for my bike! Jeepers.

Dave, very nice sign. You have a talented brother-in-law.

Got neato Norton stuff for Xmas. Thanks to my wife it was an "all Norton" Christmas from the family as opposed to the usual "random weird crap I'll never use."

CNW 520 chain conversion kit w/21T sprocket

OB braided rocker box oil line kit

OB slide hammer

OB Hex-head fork slider collars

650SS breather

Re camera:

""Sadly the manual is 160 pages."

Of which around 155 of them should be behind a tab that says: "You'll never use this crap but our marketing guys said we had to include these "features" so it totals one more (useless) "feature" than our competition had on the date we finalized the design of this camera.""

No gifts, I don't do the gift exchange thing anymore.

I got to ride my Norton on Xmas Day though! What better gift could anyone want? :D

for damaged commando, handlebars, foot pegs and rubbers to go on them. Copy of britown, not norton, but a cool dvd and as a mention the wife bought me a dvd called wild things which I quote her "It's suppose to have the number 1 theater lesbian scene of all time" She is also buying tires, what a wife.

This Christmas I bought a bunch of odds and ends from OldBrits including a swing arm rebuild kit, master cylinder rebuild kit, new allen screw set for mounting the master cylinder and a braided steel brake line. This is the short one that will replace the OEM item that was long enough for ape hangers. You can see the flex in that old brake line every time you pull the lever. I also got gaskets for the primary since I had it off to replace the broken engine mounting bolt. I got the bolts last month.

A new Avon Roadrider rear tire was another gift from me to myself. I need it to pass inspection. I am going to give myself one more gift and send my front disk off to OldBrits for grinding. The brakes work well on my commando but the original chrome coating on the disk has a worn spot that has been making the brake lever pulse. Grinding and truing up the disk will help a great deal. I have been spending into my "new bike savings fund" but I figure what the hell. There is nothing new that really makes me smile like when I take The Beast out on the road.

Oh. . . I almost forgot. My wife bought me a 2.1 horse bench grinder. My old grinder I got a Sears about a hundred years ago and you can almost stop it with your hand. It's a great safety feature but takes forever to grind anything.
