It will be interesting to see whether the parts or the beer will cost more at the completion of this rebuild. I am not charging myself labour to keep costs down...

Yes, I suppose. And if I am ever questioned about 1000$ worth of consumables for one motorcycle in 2 months I will just say the Norton drinks slot and leaks a bit.
 
I did the math today and although the beer cost is an estimate, amazingly enough, parts cost=beer cost( within a few hundred bucks). With any luck, depending on the success of this rebuild depending wholely on the attention to detail which was spent on it, part cost should drop substantially although not sure the beer costs will, since to maintain a budget, if a certain....never mind. I'm going back to the beer parlour.

I posted this note in various other threads on the subject of cost...after getting into the restoration deep enough that turning back was not an option I changed the password on th Excel spreadsheet, it worked , for a while.
The beer budget and mini fridge did not escape notice.
