OEM short open exhaust for sale

Den has completed the alternate exhaust for the 961. I have a mixed view about the configuration. I’m not doubting the quality, I’m pretty sure it’s top drawer.

He’s asking for feedback and numbers (on FB) before he tools up to manufacture more, which is understandable of course; he’s been bitten before as he describes. A couple of observations:

- I had envisioned something a little shorter in the silencer (as in my image above), à la 961 Dommie. I know the Dommie has a shorter tail but I thought the shorter length suited the 961 also. My personal view only.

- The design mounts to the footpeg hanger on the dual seat model - it ain’t gonna fit the single seat variant. No doubt he could modify. Dual seats are the vast majority of course.

- Den used the 2”pipe rather than the 1.75”. He has tooling for both, so not sure why.

- No mention of a removable baffle; he can produce one so not an issue.

I’m still interested but with some movement on the above. I’d also like to hear it.

Thoughts? Opinion on prospective price - as Den asks?

Afternote - Den has fitted a baffle and wadding; removable (FB update). Looks like he has made a really nice job of these pipes.

If it was a smaller diameter pipe I'd buy one right now. Length imo is perfect.

I only wish the exhaust lines on the 961 more closely resembled the tank. To me, it always looks odd to have so much curvature in a design, and then having harsh angles. I get they were following the frame lines, but for me, it's the one thing I'd change.
