I've had that happen to me quite often as well as I couldn't scroll throught the pages of the digital display. Factory told me it was the switch. When switches go, they go. Not a random problem like that. Turns out that only happens to me when the battery gets week, like when the bike spent 7 months at the dealership off the tender and again after 3+ years when one of the cells went bad. Changed the battery and it doesn't happen anymore. Go figure. Someone else on this forum mentioned it could be low voltage. I think they were correct.
